How did Bavaria become a Free State and what makes it distinctive? The Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte has designed a unique exhibition at the museum in Regensburg, which will pursue these questions. It emphasizes the 19th to 21st centuries. The museum ties in with the city of Regensburg’s monuments with a multi-visual panorama and presents prior history – from Roman times up to the end of the 18th century. The permanent exhibition itself recounts the history of Bavaria from the emergence of the kingdom down to the present in a succession of generations on over 2,500 m²:
Along with the chronological exhibition, eight cultural showcases present distinctive cultural features associated with Bavaria.
