"Among regulars and outsiders"
Why are the inns in Bavaria dying? And what else is there to discover there besides Spezi and Spätzle? Pupils go in search of clues to the history and social significance of Bavarian inns. There, things got heated not only during games and amusements, but also during politicking - right up to the "Saalschlacht" (hall battle). Waitressing used to be one of the toughest professions of all. And among the guests were well-known "originals" who, however, often lived on the poverty line. Together we meet a wide variety of personalities from the hospitality industry and explore how the death of the inn came about and what can be done about it.
